Q: How do I order online with this shopping cart?
A: Log in at the upper right hand corner of www.oklahomafood.coop.. When you log in, if you haven't started an order, it will ask you to choose a delivery method (home or work delivery, or pick up) and a payment method. Then click the button to start your order.
You can browse the product lists by PRODUCER -- where you see all the products offered by a specific producer.
You can browse the product lists by CATEGORY -- where you see all the products of a given category. This brings up a series of icons for categories and subcategories on the page.
You can browse by EXPANDABLE CATEGORY LIST. This creates a "tree" at the left side of the screen with all the categories and sub categories.
You can SEARCH for products. You can search for words in the title or in the product description. For example, if you wanted to find all the ground beef products, you could search for Ground Beef in the product titles.
You can search for products by their CERTIFICATION. You can find all the Certified Organic, Certified Naturally Grown, No GMO Ingredients, or Animal Welfare Approved products.
Note: until you invoice is finalized on the Tuesday before delivery day, the shopping cart shows an ESTIMATED total as items with random weights (such as packages of meat or cheese) will not be finalized until that information is updated from the producers. The estimated total will include the highest weight and price of a random weight item. This is NOT the exact price that you will pay. After 5pm on the Tuesday before Delivery Day, your total will be finalized and will include the actual weights and prices of random-weight items.
Q: It's the first day of the month. Why can't I open my order?
A: Check the clock! The order does not open until 8 AM sharp Oklahoma time so you can't open your order until 8 AM.
Q: Can I change my order?
A: You can log in and change your order until the monthly order closes. Anything in your basket at midnight on the 2nd Thursday of the month is considered an order. Between the close of the order and the delivery day, we will be entering weights on any items that need it and putting your order together. By logging in at the website you can view your temporary invoice in progress.
Q: When does ordering end for this month?
A: It always ends at midnight on the 2nd Thursday. You can log in and change your order until the closing date listed on the calendar or the home page.
Q: How do I pay?
A: Your final invoice will be available online on the evening of the Tuesday before delivery day. At your pickup site on dleivery day, you will also receive a paper copy of your invoice with your order. Payment is expected when you receive your groceries. At the pickup site, you can pay with check or money order. Some pick-up sites accept credit and debit cards. You can also pay with the PayPal or Dwolla online payment services, but your online payment must be made before you pick up your groceries. Bring a copy of your Paypal or Dwolla receipt to show to the site cashier. There is a link on your online invoice to pay your total with PayPal or Dwolla. If possible, however, we appreciate a check or money because that avoids the processing charges of cards and online systems.
Q: When can I pick up or how can I have my items delivered?
A:The Delivery Day date is listed on the calendar or the home page. It is always the third Thursday of the month. Any exceptions will be announced to the membership. (In ten years, we have delayed delivery day because of weather only once.) Your temporary invoice (viewable after ordering is closed) will have the information on pick up location or delivery. If you chose delivery, a route manager will be in touch to coordinate delivery with you.
Q: Can I change my delivery site once I've chosen it?
A: You can change your delivery site until the order closes. Once the order closes you cannot change your delivery site.
Q: I'm getting an error on a page, what do I do?
A: Please copy and paste the text of the error into an email along with what page it is and send it to email@example.com. Please also explain what happened before that error occurred. Thank you for your help in keeping this website working smoothly.

Q: Does the Coop ever have liquid milk?
A: The health dept will not let us sell raw milk through the cooperative. Raw milk may be available directly from dairies.
Q: What is a random weight item?
A: Some products (mostly meat) do not come at a standard weight. Each of these products shows a range of weights (like "2 to 3 lbs), so you know the smallest possibility is 2 pounds and the largest is 3 pounds. When you order one of these products, our system shows the range of prices. If the price is $6/pound, then it will show you $12 to $18 for the price. It will use the highest possible price to estimate your subtotal so you know the highest possible price for the product. If you don't like it, you can delete it from your shopping cart..
After the order closes, the producer will look at the orders, and decide which roast you get. Suppose your roast actually weighs 2 pounds, 4 ounces. The producer will then enter the actual weight of the roast into your invoice, and the price will be recalculated to show the correct price of $13.50 (2-1/4 lbs @ $6/lb).
So before the order closes, if you have ordered random weight items, your product subtotal is an estimate, not the price you will actually pay. Your invoice will not be higher than that price. It will almost certainly be lower.
Why do we estimate the high price? We don't want anyone to be unpleasantly surprised on delivery day by finding that the price is more than they thought it would be. We are all about full disclosure and transparent.
Your invoice will have the estimated prices on it until 5 PM on the Tuesday before Delivery Day, when the invoices are finalized for that month's order.
